We are part of Fresh Property Group which was established in 2010. Five Nine Living was founded in 2016 to manage privately rented accommodation buildings across the UK, and our sister brand Fresh Student Living manage Student accommodation in the UK & Ireland.

The UK law states that landlords have to check that each tenant is eligible to live in the UK – this has to happen before the landlord can rent a space out to a tenant. You will have to provide information that supports your rental application.

You can reserve an apartment on this website, availability is listed under ‘find your home’, click view apartments, and click book to start your reservation or click enquire if you have a question.

 

A reservation fee of £250 will be taken when your booking is made and while reference checks are carried out. This will be refunded to you once reference checks are cleared. We are sorry to say that if you fail your reference checks you will lose your reservation fee.

Simply, No we don’t.  Just your reservation fee of £250 which is taken off your first months rent.

Once the holding deposit is paid, all prospective tenants go through referencing checks which are carried out by Van Mildert to approve your eligibility to enter into a Tenancy Agreement. These checks usually take up to 3-5 working days to complete and it is your responsibility to promptly provide all supporting documentation required by Van Mildert.

Once all tenants have passed referencing checks, your first month’s rental payment is payable along with the deposit prior to you moving in.

Your deposit is kept safe with The Tenancy Deposit Scheme

At the end of your tenancy, you will be contacted by the tenancy deposit scheme to confirm the return of your deposit (minus any re-charges). Your deposit will then be returned to you within 10 working days.

Please note that even if you move out before your tenancy end date, your deposit may not be returned until after that date.

If you’re looking to move out, you will need to provide us with 2 months notice e.g. 6month contract notice to be given in month 4. Or 12month contract notice to be given in month 10.

You will need to book a ‘Check Out Inspection’ with the Accommodation Manager. They will inspect the room fixtures and fittings against the initial inventory.

This type of insurance covers your personal belongings, loss or damage to all the things in your home which are not part of the structure or the building

This generally includes:
– clothing
– furniture
– jewellery
– electrical goods

Different policies offer different levels of cover but generally, you’ll be covered against theft, fire and flood.

We would highly recommend you take out a comprehensive contents insurance policy from a reputable supplier to protect your personal possessions.

An AST is the most common type of tenancy agreement and the majority of new tenancies are automatically assigned to this agreement. Before you move in, you should be given a tenancy contract to sign. Under an AST your tenancy usually lasts for a minimum of twelve months.
This agreement will outline how much rent you pay, who is responsible for any repairs or damages, and exactly how long your tenancy will be. From the start of this contract, you are committed to paying the agreed instalments on time.  Download to view a sample of our AST document.

Yes, but only in some locations. Please enquire and confirm before you book with us. There is a monthly “pet rent” charge of £50 per dog and £25 per cat, this cost contributes to the additional communal cleaning and maintenance required. Please note all pets must meet our approval before you move in.

We offer flexible lease terms, with the minimum being 6 months up to 3 years in some locations.

We want you to love your time living with us but there may be times when we don’t always get it “right”. We take all complaints seriously and will try our best to fix any issues first time.
